Emface and Exion at MVP Family Dental

These are the newest additions to what the practice offers, and they sit outside dentistry. They are included here because they are delivered by the same team, in the same building, to patients who already come to us.

Whether either is appropriate for you is a consultation, not something to settle from a web page.

The short answer

Facial esthetics here means two non-invasive, device-based treatments by BTL: Emface, which combines synchronized radiofrequency heating with HIFES muscle stimulation, and Exion, which combines fractional radiofrequency, microneedling and targeted ultrasound. Both are delivered with a handpiece against the skin, with no incisions, no fillers and no injectables. They sit outside dentistry and are offered by the same team in the same building, and whether either is appropriate for you is assessed at a consultation.

Emface and Exion Questions

What is Emface?
Emface is a facial treatment device by BTL. It combines synchronized radiofrequency heating with HIFES muscle stimulation, and is designed to work on the skin and the facial muscles beneath it at the same time. Eye and Submentum applicators allow the under-eye area and the area beneath the chin to be targeted. It is delivered with a handpiece against the skin, with no needles and no incisions.
What is Exion?
Exion is a multi-platform device by BTL that combines fractional radiofrequency, microneedling and targeted ultrasound. It is designed to work on the deeper layers of the skin. Like Emface it is non-invasive and needle-free. Which of the two suits you is decided at the consultation.
Why are they offered together?
They are designed to address different things, which is why they are often discussed as a pair. Emface is directed at structural lift, and Exion at skin texture and support. Which device, which applicator and how a course would be arranged is decided together at the consultation.
Are needles or injections involved?
No. Both treatments are non-invasive and needle-free. There are no incisions and no fillers or injectables. The applicator is simply applied to the treatment area.
Which areas can be treated?
The face. Emface also has Eye and Submentum applicators, which allow the under-eye area and the area beneath the chin to be targeted. Which areas are appropriate for you is part of the consultation rather than something to settle in advance.
How many sessions would I need?
That is decided at the consultation rather than set in advance, because it depends on what you are hoping to change and how you respond. How a course would be arranged is planned together. We then review how you have responded and discuss whether further sessions are worthwhile.
Is this dentistry?
No. These are facial aesthetic treatments offered alongside our dental services, and they sit outside dentistry. They are included here because they are delivered by the same team, in the same building, to patients who already come to us. They are elective and device-based.
How do I find out whether it suits me?
Book a consultation. What is achievable varies from person to person and is assessed individually, so it is a clinical conversation rather than something to settle from a web page. It helps to bring what specifically you would like to change, any previous facial treatments you have had, and a current list of medications and medical conditions.
